About Cherrywood Forno
Cherrywood Forno is the brainchild of Chef Richard Bywater, renowned Red Seal Chef based in Calgary, Alberta.
A graduate of S.A.I.T professional cooking program, Bywater trained in classical French techniques and became Red Seal certified by the age of 21. Since then, his culinary curiosity led him to travel and explore the unique cuisines of more than 20 countries, including the Caribbean, Jamaica, U.K., South East Asia, Egypt, Israel and Palestine.
Bywater has trained under revered master chefs, including Chef Alain Chabot, Chef Cam Dobranski, and Chef Vince Parkinson. His impressive resume includes turns as executive chef at several lauded dining establishments as well as management at Brasserie Kensington, Muse Restaurant and the Deville Wine Bar.
Bywater’s Cherrywood Forno is his direct response to a demand for a simple, elegant and classic means to create the unique, memorable and flavourful food sought by upscale residential customers and discerning commercial establishments alike.
